Nigeria Police Is Never A Tool In The Hands Of Ruling Parties - Young Professionals

The United Young Professionals has called on the Nigeria Police to ignore the publications by Network On Police Reforms In Nigeria (NOPRIN) titled “NOPRIN Slams Police Over Alleged Partisanship, Violence”.

Reacting to the publications, the National Coordinator of United Young Professionals, Adewole Kehinde said that the Nigeria Police today under the amiable IGP Ibrahim K. Idris is not partisan and is never a tool in the hands of ruling parties in the country to perpetrate evil, hunt opposition and foment election violence as insinuated by NOPRIN.

“We find it ridiculous that a network claiming to be after Police Reforms in Nigeria could stoop so low by saying the Police as at today perpetrate evil, hunt opposition and foment election violence, Adewole said.

“The Nigeria Police has steered successful, crisis-free election from Edo, Anambra, Ekiti to Osun State respectively with different party winning the election, the Police has never supportted any political party to hunt opposition and foment election violence, the statement concluded.
