A chieftain of the Peoples' Democratic Party, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has condemned attacks on delegates and leaders at the Osun West senatorial primaries of the party holding at Iwo.
In statement issued today, Mallam Rasheed said the incident is undemocratic and an attempt to thwart the will of delegates,calling for "the prevalence of spirit of sportsmanship.
"It is sad and condemnable.Delegates should not be intimidated by whatever means and aspirants should be willing to submit to the will of the party as expressed by the delegates.
"The PDP is a party of peace and it is important we remain as such.Those who sponsored those thugs are a disgrace to the PDP. I urge supporters of all aspirants to be law abiding.The votes of delegates should count", he said.
