The Rector Yaba College of Technology, Dr. Kudi Ladipo, has been unanimously elected Chairman of Committee of Federal Polytechnic Rectors (COFER) at its meeting held Thursday January 21, 2016 at the liaison office of National Board of Technical Education in Abuja.
Other members of the executive are Dr T.T Akande, Rector Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Vice Chairman; Dr. S.M Musa, Rector Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Treasurer.
In his valedictory message the out-going chairman, Dr.M.O. Olatinwo, thanked all members for their unalloyed support and cooperation during his tenure. He noted that if not for their immense support and invaluable suggestions, it would have been difficult to record all the achievements witnessed under his leadership. He wished the new executives success in their bid to take the committee to greater heights.
The Rector Kaduna polytechnic, Dr. M.B Ibrahim on behalf of the entire members of COFER, commended the out-going chairman and other executives for their high sense of commitment to the affairs of the body.
In her acceptance speech the new chairman, Dr. (Mrs) Kudi Ladipo, an enterprising woman of remarkable vision, thanked her colleagues for the confidence reposed in her. She promised to re-position the Committee for greater visibility and relevance to the technological advancement of Nigeria, and solicited the support and co-operation of her colleagues in this regard.
