Bayelsa State Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has disengaged all political appointees who served the state during his first tenure.
According to a Government House statement issued on Monday, Governor Dickson thanked all political appointees, who served in the first tenure for their commitment and dedicated services to the Government and people of the state.
While wishing them well in all their future endeavours, the Governor however points out that, those whose services may be needed will be reappointed to serve the state in the future.
Meanwhile, few hours after he dropped all political appointees, the Governor has made his first official appointment.
The new appointee is Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, who has been re-appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
