To mark the nine months of President
Muhammadu Buhari administration, #WhereIsTheChange hash tag was launched on Monday
via Twitter with cross section of Nigerians expressing their mixed feelings
over the State of the Nation.
While some Nigerians express grieved on
the state of the nation under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration,
few called for endurance, stating that nine months is too early to judge the Buhari
administration.
Issues that topped the reactions on the
No. 1 on Twitter Trends #WhereIsTheChange hash tag includes the killing of over
300 people in four villages of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, as a
result of the clash between local farmers and Fulani herdsmen; the reappearance of fuel scarcity in some parts
of the country; the reversal by President Buhari not to pay the earlier
promised N5,000 welfare package to the vulnerable unemployed youths; the extensive
foreign trip by President Buhari; the continued unreliable power supply across the country; the
high cost of consumable foodstuffs; non declaration of assets by political
appointees; use of motorbike to fight insurgencies among other issues.
