A SPEECH DELIVERED ON BEHALF OF ETHNIC NATIONALITY YOUTH PRESIDENT IN NIGERIA AS A TRIBUTE TO CHIEF REUBEN FASORANTI (AFENIFERE LEADER) ON HIS BIRTHDAY PUBLIC LECTURE IN AKURE 28TH,2016. BY COMR. ERIC OLUWOLE- NAT'L PRESIDENT YORUBA YOUTH COUNCIL,WORLDWIDE

Our Excellency, The Executive Governor of Ondo state, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko,

Dignitaries at the high-table,

Distinguished guests from all and sundry,

Members of the Press,

Ladies and gentlemen. 

The Coalition of Ethnic Nationality Youth President of Nigeria (CENYPON) which is the umbrella body of all youth-ethnic councils and groups in Nigeria wishes Chief Reuben Fasonranti, a leader per excellence, a distinguished elder statesman, a frontline advocate of the Youruba nation, and leader of Afenifere, long life, more prosperous years on today's commemorate-symposium tagged "The welfare ideology and the future of Yoruba Nation" which is in honour of Chief Reuben Fasoranti, the distinguished leader of Afenifere.

The spate of contemporary bombings in the Niger Delta, killings by Fulani herdsmen, Kidnappings and so on tells us nothing more than the need to re-discuss the structures that binds us together as a Country. The old ways are no longer sustainable, there are fresh challenges, every Nigerian must be given a sense of belonging and economic participation. And this can only be achieved if we commence loose Federalism. Let every state or Federating unit have the powers to exploit its Natural resources without any recourse to the Federal, let them only give tax and percentages to the Federal and we will start seeing solutions to our myriads of problems. Be it unemployment, terrorism, economic instability, and so on.

Chief Reuben Fasoranti is whom all ethnic-youth councils such as the Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council and other Ethnic Nationalites youth president in nigeria respectively all identified with because of his active and distinguished roles in Nigeria's social political issues with most specifically, issues concerning the Yoruba Nation. 

Our immense gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; for making this remarkable event reality and hosting us all in the sunshine state. Your giant strides in the administration of the state and laudable projects in health, education, urban-renewal, and infrastructure across the state in the last seven years. Thank you sir.
