COVID-19: Community Under Quarantine Gets Food Items From Niger State Government



Sequel to the directive of the Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, to quarantine Limawa Community in Minna, the State Government has supplied food items to its people.

In a press release release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Mary Noel Berje,, she said that the gesture was to cushion the effect of being quarantined after an index case of COVID-19 in the State was recorded from the area thereby placing the people of the area on two weeks quarantine vis-à-vis the total lockdown in the State.

Food items supplied by the State government include bags of Rice, Maize, Millet and vegetables amongst others.

Secretary to the State government and Chairman Taskforce on COVID-19, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane stressed that government will ensure that the fight against the spread of Coronavirus becomes a success in the state.
