The Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has pledged the commitment of the State to key into the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria and also the National Broadband Plan 2020 - 2025.
Gov Abdulrazaq made the disclosure today when he paid a working visit to the Ministry's Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
The Governor stated that innovation is very important in the digital age which necessitated his visit to the Ministry in a bid to accelerate digital transformation in Kwara State.
In his brief remarks, the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami commended the vision of the governor to accelerate development in the state with the deployment of digital technology.
The Honourable Minister said,” Broadband penetration is key to the economic development of any Nation”.
Dr Pantami further called on the governor to embrace skills over paper qualification, stating that when the focus is more on paper qualification, more potential employees will be produced, but when the focus is more on skills, more potential employers will be produced.
