Ringim Elders Forum Seeks For Intervention In Digital Literacy


 

The Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mallam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi on Wednesday received the delegation from Ringim Elders Forum who paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s headquarter Abuja to seek for intervention in the areas of Digital Literacy and Capacity Building for youths in Ringim Emirate.
Abdullahi asserted that the visit would not have come at a better time than this as the Agency is looking for communities where it can deploy ICT intervention and the projects will be sustain and used optimally for the benefit of all Nigerians.

The DG affirmed that it is one of the Agency’s mandate to build the capacity of Nigerians on digital literacy and also educate them on how to use technology in general. In this regards, having the chairman of this great forum like this has given us great assurance that any intervention rendered will be highly utilised.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ringim Elders Forum, Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, applauded the Agency’s effort towards the drive of ICT across the country.

He assured NITDA of their full commitment and support in making sure that the Agency achieves its mandate of making Nigeria a Digital Economy.
