Delta Speaker Hails Itsekiri People, Congratulates Olu of Warri


The Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya has congratulated Prince Ikenwoli Gbesimi Emiko on his coronation as the 20th Olu of Warri.

“I send my best wishes to the Itsekiri people for a happy coronation” he said.

In a statement issued in Asaba, the speaker described the coronation of the monarch as a great day for Deltans, particularly the Itsekiri people.

He urged the monarch to use his knowledge acquired through experience and education for the advancement of the State.

“Today’s security, economic and cultural challenges require an ever stronger cooperation and solidarity between the ethnic groups in the state”.

He also advised the Warri Monarch to ensure a better future for progress, prosperity and well-being for the good people of Itsekiri.

"I wish to assure you of my full availability to work with you on building a peaceful Delta State"

“I wish you, members of the Olu Advisory Council and the Warri Council of Chiefs long years of prosperity and well-being. I also wish all members of the royal family continued good health and happiness and the Itsekiri people much progress and prosperity” he said.

He urged Deltans, particularly the Itsekiri people to give him all the support and due regard to enable him rule successfully.
