Yamusa’s Contributions To Peace, Unity, Indelible – Atiku

The Late Emir of Keffi in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammadu Chindo Yamusa II

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the death of Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yamusa, has robbed Nigeria of an outstanding exponent of peace and unity.

In a condolence message to the government and the people of Nasarawa State over the demise of the monarch, the former Vice President notes that the late Yamusa was genuinely committed to building the bridges of unity, sustaining peace and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

According to Atiku, the deceased had won the respect of many Nigerians because throughout his life, he was passionately devoted to the course of achieving unity even in diversity.

Atiku recalls that Yamusa was one of the Northern leaders whose voices were loudly heard condemning the Boko Haram terrorism in the North, and always stressing the need for leaders to show vigilance in their immediate communities to avoid the emergence of dangerous ideologies.

The former Vice President prays to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and give his immediate family, his subjects and the people of the state the fortitude to bear the loss.
