Secondus, Maibasira, Tanimu, Baraje, Tsauri, Visit Sule Lamido




As part of its efforts to unite the party and mend all perceived  friction within its fold, a strong delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party led by its   National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, National secretary Sen. Abdullahi Tsauri, Alh Abduallhi MaiBasira,the National Financial Secretary, Barr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, a former presidential aspirant , Abubakar Kawu Baraje, a former National Chairman, and  Hajiya Mariya Waziri, were last night at the residence of the former Governor of Jigawa, Dr. Sule Lamido.

The meeting which was geared towards mending fences and providing a united front ahead of next year's  presidential elections, afforded the party chieftains the opportunity to coalesce and form a common front.

According to an aide to Lamido, his principal is 100% PDP and as a founding Member of the party, he is 100% committed to the party and the Atiku candidacy, as he had earlier pledged.

In addition,Abubakar Yusuf Doma, a senior aide to Lamido released a disclaimer this morning, disowning the claim that Lamido may withdraw support for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),Atiku Abubakar in the upcoming presidential election.

He stated that Dr Sule Lamido, as one of the aspirants who lost out at the party's presidential primaries pledged his total  support for Mr Abubakar’s bid to unseat President Muhammadu Buhari at the polls in 2019 and as a man  of honour, the former Governor will always keep his words.
