Pegi Kidnap: Police Launches Operation To Rescue Kidnapped Victims



The FCT Police Command has deployed a heavy detachment of personnel and equipment to rescue the five persons kidnapped in the wee hours of Wednesday 18th November, 2020 in a village along Pegi axis.

In a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, she urged members of the public to remain calm, while it intensifies effort to liberate the victims unhurt and reunite them with their family members.

The Command Spokesperson further said that the Commissioner of Police FCT CP. Bala Ciroma has ordered a manhunt to trail and apprehend the fleeing suspects.

“While enjoining residents to be security conscious and promptly report all suspicious movements, the Command wishes to reiterate its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory, the statement concluded.
