The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) established Multi-stakeholder Standing Committee on Research and Development (R&D) in ICT for a Digital Economy (ICT-DE) pays a courtesy call to Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as one of its key stakeholders to support the entrenchment of ICT for Digital Economy in all public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The Sub-Committee has as its core mandate to train students of tertiary public institutions in Nigeria in ICT, Digital Literacy and Skills for the development and growth of Digital Nigerian Economy.
Prof. Bashir Galadanci, Professor of Software Engineering at Bayero University Kano and, ICT-DE Thematic Group Coordinator leads the team to NCC.
The team also paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) on November 17, 2020, where they discussed about the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy of the Federal Government of Nigeria and its expectations.
