My Two Weeks Isolation Period Were Used To Seek For Forgiveness From God - Gov. Abubakar Bello


Abubakar Sani-Bello, Niger State Governor has revealed that he spent his two weeks in isolation begging God for forgiveness.

Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani-Bello has on Tuesday said that he spent his two weeks in isolation to beg God for forgiveness and reflect on the good and bad things he might have done in life.

He announced on his Twitter handle eight days ago that he tested positive for COVID-19 and that he was proceeding on isolation.

The governor, upon completion of his isolation period on Tuesday, visited the state House of Assembly.

Speaking to Dynasty Reporters in Minna after a visit to the House of Assembly, the governor said his two weeks in isolation taught him a lot of things, coronavirus (COVID-19) is real.

We need to be careful and I advise citizens to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 protocol.

“I used the two weeks in isolation to reflect on the plans for 2021 and seek for forgiveness from the God. We also need to be careful when contracted not to infect our family members,” he said.

“COVID-19 is real. I want to appeal to everyone to take it very seriously and do what you can to protect yourself. If you are destined to catch COVID-19, no one can stop you. But, at least, try to protect yourself.”

Bello who spent over one hour with the legislators in a closed door meeting while speaking with journalists stated that he was in the house to appreciate the lawmakers who showed concern and love during his isolation.

He added that he also tried to resolve some crucial matters the legislators were not comfortable with.

He also appealed for quick passage of the 2021 budget and discussed on how to enhance development of the state.
