The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami has reiterated the importance of promoting Digital Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship, describing both as a basis for a Digital Economy to thrive.
He said this at an ongoing Stakeholders’ Workshop for Digital Innovations and Entrepreneurship. “The National Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy is aimed at providing an enabling environment for indigenous innovation to thrive”. Adding that, Nigerian Startups are very creative and highly innovative, blessed with the capabilities of coming up with homegrown digital solutions that will address challenges in society.
He maintained that the responsibility of government is to provide the right policy and enabling environment for digital innovation and entrepreneurship to thrive.
The event was with
the theme: Developing an Enabling Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Policy is aimed at fostering the Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Ecosystem in Nigeria, in line with the National Digital Economy Policy and
Strategy for a Digital Nigeria.
