.......reassures residents of safety
The FCT Police Command has successfully restored calm along Iddo axis, following a farmers-herders clash that broke out between locals residing in a settlement within Iddo on Monday 16th November, 2020.
In a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, she said The unfortunate clash left three persons with various degrees of injury while some thatched houses were set ablaze within the area.
The Commissioner of Police FCT CP. Bala Ciroma has also ordered a discreet investigation into the incident.
The CP also engaged community and religious leaders within Iddo in peace talks to forestall the reoccurrence of such an event.
While reiterating his unflinching resolve to the protection of lives and property within FCT, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma also urged residents of the FCT to eschew violence of all forms and embrace peace.
