Market Women In Osun Endorse, Gboyega Oyetola, APC Candidate For Saturday Election



The Association of Market Women (AMW) in Osun State has endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for the Saturday election in the state.

The market women promise massive votes for Oyetola as they expressed their desire to allow consolidation of Aregbesola's achievement for the betterment of the entire people of the state.

The market women during consultative meetings at various markets across the state said they would vote for Oyetola for continuity of Aregbesola's policies and programmes.

At Apomu, Ikire, Ikoyi, market women from Ayedaade, Irewole/Isokan federal constituency declared their support for the APC candidate. 

At a meeting with the wife of the Governor, Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola, and the wife of the APC candidate, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, the market women assured of their support for APC and its Candidate.

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan federal constituency, Ayo Omidiran said the market women took the right decision and assured that APC will not disappoint them when Oyetola becomes the next governor.

Addressing the market women, Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola commended the market women for support Aregbesola's administration and urge them to extend the same gesture to Oyetola, she charged them to mobilise other people to also vote for APC on Saturday.

She recalled the love of her husband, Governor Aregbesola, for women, promising that Oyetola would recognise the women more, if elected.

The first lady maintained that the only way to sustain the programmes and success of the present administration, is to vote his candidate to continue the 'good works.

Recalling that the APC gubernatorial candidate has promised to ensure adequate number of women participation in his government, Mrs Aregbesola urged market women to support him and ensure his victory in the coming election.

Speaking, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ayedade/Irewole/Isokan federal constituency, Hon. Ayo Omidiran, hinted that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extended collection of Permanent Votes Cards (PVCs) to Wednesday.

She urged those that have not collected their PVCs to go to the INEC office before 5pm when it will close on Wednesday.

Omidiran also assured women that the APC candidate, if elected, would not neglect market women and traders in the state.

She noted that Oyetola has been promising in many public places that his government would promote small scale businesses and entrepreneurs, assuring that he would fulfill all his promises.
