Youths Empowerment: Masari Distributes Resettlement Packages To KYCV Trainees



The Katsina Youth Craft Village under the Department of Science and Technology, Katsina State Government helds its Distribution of Resettlement Packages to the 75 trainees of Jan-Jun 2018 by the Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari at the MD Yusuf  NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Katsina.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that the scheme is aimed at providing opportunities for the youths of Katsina and also to compliment the white collar jobs.

Over 7 thousand youths from the 34  Local Government Areas of Katsina State have been taught and graduated from the empowerment programme in the past 3 years and have been given support by the Katsina State Government.

The Ass. Director, Academics, Isa D. Ahmed in his speech appreciated the efforts of the Masari administration in relation to the attention and efforts it has placed in the aspect of youths empowerment and further pleaded with the Governor for contracts regarding furnishing and equipping the school.

@katgovmedia reports that Masari in his speech appreciated the compliments of the Ass. Director and urged the facilitators of the programme to teach the youths diligently as though they are their children because they themselves do not know the future of their children also.

He further added that the opportunity of such skills acquisition should not be limited to the youths with advantage but should also be extended to the less privileged like the "al-majiris" to enable them have something to depend on in their lives and not only restrict them to the Islamic knowledge they derive from their Islamic schools.

He further said that the Government cannot provide white collar jobs for every youth so these types of programmes are there to compliment the efforts of the Government in job creation.
