Niger State Police Command Parades 3 Suspects For Transformer Vandalization





The operatives of Niger State Police Command arrested a three-man gang responsible for vandalization of transformers in MI Wushishi, Farm Center, CKC Road Tunga, Peter Sarki Road, and Alovera Hotel Tunga, Minna.

In a press release by the Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Command, DSP Muhammad D/Inna Abubakar, he said that on Tuesday, 11th September, 2018 acting on a tip-off, a team of Police detectives attached to Tudun Wada Division arrested one Asama Ibrahim aged 18yrs, Sinanu Ibrahim aged 20yrs, and Gambo Dauda aged 16yrs, all of Kafin Tella area Tunga Minna for vandalization of a transformer located at Kolawole Road in Tunga, Minna.

“During investigation suspects confessed to the crime. Exhibits recovered include eight pieces of armored cables valued One Million, Two Hundred Naira only (N1,200,000.00). Case will soon be charged to court.

DSP Muhammad D/Inna Abubakar further said that the Commissioner of Police Niger State Police Command, CP. D.P. Yakadi has assured members of the public that the Police under his leadership will continue to redouble its efforts in the protection of lives and property in the State. The Command therefore, solicits the support of Nigerlites in giving useful and timely information to the Police.
