Katsina Multi Purpose Women Centre Graduates Students, Inaugurate New Facilities



The Katsina Multipurpose Women Centre (Filin Samji), under the Ministry of Women Affairs on Friday 21st December 2018, graduated students from various skills acquired during the 2018 session.

According to Katsina Media and Publicity, the Honourable Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Dr. Badiya Hassan Mashi who was at the event handed over equipments and cash to the best performing students of the Centre.

Similarly, the Wife of the Katsina State Governor, Haj. Hadiza Amina Masari had commissioned some newly established facilities at the centre provided by the Ministry of Women Affairs.

The new facilities commissioned are Information Technology Centre for Women, which is equipped with computers and internet to enable the women in the State access the internet for online registration and educational purposes, which will avoid them mingling with men in the commercial centres. A day care unit for children and babies which will serve as a support system for parents and families that require them and a gymnasium for exercise which is also strictly for women.

@katgovmedia reports that while expressing her joy and satisfaction with what the Ministry is doing, the wife of the State Governor commended the Centre and called on women to utilise the facilities for their own good.

It will be recalled that Katsina Media and Publicity had recently reported the free ear/hearing services was rendered to hundreds of less privileged by the Ministry across the State.
