A former Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State, Alh Musa Muhammed Maikaya on Friday, congratulated the new Emir of Nasarawa, Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril on his appointment.
Alh Maikaya said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.
IMaikaya said the selection of Jibril by the Nasarawa Emirate kingmakers was an act destined by Allah, who alone gives leadership to whoever He wishes.
He prayed Allah to give the new emir the wisdom and courage to see the new position as the father of Nasarawa people, Northerners and Nigeria at large.
Maikaya urged Jibril to bring his wealth of experience, competence and exposure to bear in uniting the royal family members and the people of Nasarawa State.
He said that the advice became necessary to ensure peaceful transition and continuation of the good legacies of the late Emir of Nasarawa , Alhaji Hassan Abubakar II.
"I pray that Almighty Allah will protect and guide the new emir and bless his reign with peace, unity and development,” he prayed.
Maikaya called on the new emir to uphold the sanctity of the traditional institution and consider his appointment as a rare opportunity to serve his people.
