Nasarawa: Kofan Gwari's Defection Sign Of A Sinking APC In The State - SDP Guber Candidate

The people of Kokona LGC precisely Kofan Gwari electoral ward  has on Sunday officially defected from ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Peoples' Democratic Party,  (PDP)  and others to opposition Social Democratic Party, SDP, with over three hundred members who left their former parties. 

In a well attended defection in the Government Secondary School venue of the event situated at Kofan Gwari electoral ward headquarters Kokona LGA of the State. 

The leader of the group Mallam Jibrin described the defection as timely and a huge plus to the SDP,  adding that the new political development will enable the SDP take over governorship from ruling APC in 2019 election. 

He stated that the present government led by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura has caused a lots of hardships, suffering and pains to the people of Nasarawa and urgently needed to be changed in next year's election. 

The group further accused APC led administration of committed a lot of atrocities ranging from appointed non party members into key positions, removing diehard party faithful during congresses despite the popular "Song" by its national body which is affirmation of former party faithful and abandoning those that worked for overall victory of the party in the previous  elections.

According to the group, " Today defection of over three hundrends people from APC, PDP, and others parties from the area is a beginning of victory for democracy in Nasarawa State. 

Also Speaking, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, governorship candidate, HE. Hon. Ishaq Ahmed Kana, who was physically on ground to receive the decampees, described the defection as what will happen in the coming days ahead, adding the game was yet to kickoff, more defection will be recorded in others part of the State. 

The governorship candidate declare APC dead, collapsed following injustice melted on the people of the State. That the people of Nasarawa are now very much aware of the ruling government's deceit and are tired of the failed change mantra they erroneously voted some years back. 

The party chieftain, further stated "What is happening today in Nasarawa is completely opposite to democracy norms and no well meaning Nasarawa indigene will identify with a lopsided government known for only themselves and for selfish agradisement instead of making life more meaningful for those who voted them into power. 

He call on the people of Nasarawa to massively vote out a government that do not have regard for the sanctity of Human life.

He reminded the gathering in 2011 how the struggle started with late Dr. Hon. Hassan Lawal of the blessed memory,  HE. Distinguished Senator Solomon Ewuga, himself (IShaq Kana) and others from the three zones of the State whose today weren't rewarded for their sacrifices for the party victory but abandoned with  suffering, hardship and even denied workers of their duly entitlement.

He promised to launch operation Chop Make I Chop where the entire State will largely benefits as the true government of people which clearly defined democracy. Ishaq stated.
