Bayelsa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Moses Cleopas on Saturday expressed appreciation to the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus and the National Working Committee for their show of support and solidarity during the burial of Governor Seriake Dickson's mother, Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson.
A statement by Hon. Moses says the presence of the leadership of the party is a testimonial to the fact that Governor Dickson has given unequaled leadership in his role first as governor and Chairman of the party's reconciliation committee.
The statement notes that the governor has given and will continue to offer the best representation of the party in Bayelsa and thanked them for identifying with him in his hour of grief.
It also commended former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Delta state Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and Cross Rivers state governors, Prof. Ben Ayade.
Hon Moses in the statement also praised PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Of the PDP, Alhaji Wahil Jubril,Speaker, House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara and several members of the party around the country for coming out in their numbers to honour Governor Dickson and his family with their presence.
He further commended the Chairman of PDP State Chapters Chairmen forum Hon. Paul Ekpo from Cross-River State and chairman of the Bauchi State Chapter of the Party.
It equally assured the leadership of the party of total commitment to ensure all PDP candidates in the state including the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar win in next year's general election.
