The Agricultural Show 2018 which took place at Kafin Soli seed farm in Kankiya Local Government Area of Katsina State came to an end after 3 days of successful agricultural display and seminar.
Katsina Media and Publicity reports that over 1000 participants drawn from both public and private organisation within and outside the State took part in the agricultural show which was held from the 18th to the 20th of December, 2018.
The participants took part in the various programs at the show which included seminars, agricultural display, competition amongst participants in the areas of cereals, legumes, aquaculture, root and tubers, fishery, livestock as well as farm power mechanization and export crops.
@katgovmedia reports that the Managing Director, Katsina State Agriculture and Rural Development Authority, Ibrahim Musawa who was at the ingenious event stated that the essence of the show was to exchange and harness ideas to enhance the agricultural sector, as well as induce and stimulate agricultural research and expose farmers to agricultural financial institutes.
The DG also added that the event was more appealing because it does not attract any participation fee and has been approved by the State Governor, showing that the Masari administration has indeed done well for the agricultural sector in Katsina State.
The participants at the end of the show, expressed their gratitude to the organizers and also to Katsina State Government for such a lifetime experience, stating that the agricultural sector and activities will never be the same again as this marks the dawn of a new era in agriculture in Katsina State.
