Screening Of Graduates S~Power Applicants Ongoing


The Katsina State government is currently screening applicants for  recruitment of 2000 teachers under the Katsina State S-Power Scheme.

Katsina Media and Publicity reports that the candidates for the screening are those graduates with requirements to teach in Secondary Schools who applied under the S-Power  Scheme.                      

This information is contained in a press statement issued by the Director Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar'adua to the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), which further disclosed that that the exercise is being conducted at 12 centres across the State.                   

Speaking at Katsina Centre of the exercise, the Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa said the programme was initiated by the present administration to address inadequate teachers at secondary schools in the State.                    
The programme is also aimed at reducing the rate of unemployment among the youths.      

The SGS urged those successful to be up and doing as laziness on the job would not be condoned.            

@katgovmedia reports that Mustapha Inuwa advised unsuccessful ones not to lose hope saying that Governor Masari's Administration is doing everything possible to create more opportunities for the youths to become productive in their communities.    

He was happy with the conduct of the exercise at the centers where he monitored the exercise.

Katsina media and publicity gathered that the centers included Katsina, Dutsinma, Safana, Musawa and Malumfashi.              

The screening exercise was slated for Monday and Tuesday at the 12 Zonal Offices of Quality Assurance in the State.

It will be recalled that the state government had in the last 3 month appointed successful applicants in the S-Power scheme to teach in the state primary schools.
