The Director of Strategic Communications, Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization and & official Spokesperson of PMB Presidential Campaign, Festus Keyamo, SAN has debunked the information published by an online media that he has received the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N450Million) initial payment for the full commencement of Media and Publicity for the Buhari campaign from the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation.
In a press release personally signed by Festus Keyamo, SAN, he said that is participation in the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization part of his larger crusade to enthrone an accountable government and true democracy in Nigeria.
"I am determined to make my little contribution to prevent those who have looted our treasury in the past to establish "big businesses" that they now flaunt in our faces and who have been indicted both locally and internationally from staging a comeback to power, Keyamo said.
He further said that his hard-earned integrity would be guarded jealously as he has never and will never go near public purse and the President's Campaign Organization will not do so either.
It will be recalled that the online media claimed that the allegedly N450million is part payment for the Directorate of Media and Publicity which Mr. Keyamo heads. The source said Keyamo gave the NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru a budget of N7.5billion to cover money for Tv ads, social media ads, payment of social media influencers nationwide, payment of media owners, editors, columnists and notable journalists in the country under the subheading of PR and other expenses.
