Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki had on Wednesday swore in Ahmed Babba Kaita as Senator representing Katsina North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
Kaita, who was elected in August this year while the National Assembly was on recess, is taking over the seat of Late Senator Mustapha Bukar who passed away months ago.
After swearing in the new senator, Saraki congratulated him for joining the Red Chamber. “Let me on behalf of all of us congratulate our new colleague, Babba Kaita, for being sworn in today. You are most welcome to the Senate,” Saraki said
It will be recalled that Katsina Media and Publicity reported the emergence of Ahmad Babba Kaita as Senator elect of the Katsina North Senatorial District after defeating his opponent of the PDP with a wide margin.
