The governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the last governorship election,Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other presidential contenders over the successful conduct of the national convention.
In a statement he personally endorsed,Senator Adeleke described the emergence of Alhaji Abubakar as the presidential candidate as a welcome development and a pointer to victory for the People's Democratic Party next year.
"I felicitate with Wazirin Adamawa,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on his victory at the convention.Our presidential candidate is a tested and trusted leader who has all what it takes to revive and restore normalcy in Nigeria.His records of sterling achievements in the private and public sectors are evidence of his preparedness for the top job",Senator Adeleke noted.
He also commended Senate President Bukola Saraki,Sokoto state governor,Aminu Tambuwal and other presidential aspirants for demonstrating democratic sportsmanship,describing them as "patriots of the nation and the PDP"
While describing the organisation of the convention as the best ever,Adeleke tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission to learn from the party on how to organise free and fair election.
"PDP and her leadership has demonstrated that free and fair election is possible. INEC should help to streghten democracy by allowing votes to count and by stopping unholy collusion with sit tight leaders.
"I rejoice with our National Chairman,Prince Uche Secondus,the entire national leadership and members of our great party.The rebranded PDP is a success and victory awaits us in 2019",he concluded.
